Emergency Medical Technician

Duties and responsibilities: an Emergency Medical Technician also known as an EMT. They are trained to respond quickly to medical situations. Usually rushing to crime scene to perform basic life saving techniques. EMT’s are mostly found working in ambulances.  They are often employed by fire departments. They are mainly supervised by a medical director or a physician. Since they do spend most of their time on ambulances they are responsible for taking care of the patients in critical conditions on there way to the hospital etc.

Salary: average salary is $31,700

Education: high school diploma are needed and associate’s degree from a EMT program also training is needed.

Demand for this profession: 2014-2024 it will grow 24%

I believe i would like to be an EMT. to begin with it seems interesting to me. I think it's interesting because you never know what what's gonna happen next. Everyday something new and interesting happens. Although at times it's sad and scary i would enjoy doing this.
