Dermatologist


Duties and responsibilities:
A dermatologist is a physician who treats conditions related to the skin but can also treat disorders related to hair and nails. Most of the time a patient can have an assigned dermatologist to themselves. Training to be a dermatologist includes performing minor surgical procedures related to the skin. They can remove moles, warts,melanomas, and other tropical abnormalitie performing these tasks in offices using local anesthetics. Some treatments can be taken care of with topical medications while others need some oral medication or even using injections.


Salary: $262,500 for female dermatologist while males get paid $300,300


Education: Need a bachelor's degree. Medical school becoming a M.D. 1 year of required medical training. Accredited dermatology residency  program at least 3 years.


Demand for this Profession: predicted to grow 15% between the years of 2012-2022
