Medical Illustrator

Duties and responsibilities: A medical illustrator is a professional artist with advanced education in both the life sciences and visual communication. They collaborate with scientists, physicians, etc., and  transform complex information into visual images that have the potential to communicate to broad audiences. Medical Illustrators work with art to compose a big picture based of things they know and the information provided.  They must have skills to draw, listen, pay attention, and memorize. The drawings they make are very detailed and often used in textbooks for student learning or physicians.

Education: a bachelor's degree with a major in art and a minor in the biological sciences, or a major in science with a minor in art & art work samples.

Reflection: Would you like to be one? Why? Why not?
No I wouldn't enjoy being one because I am not so good at drawing. It seems like a cool fun interesting job, but it's not for me, art isn't my thing. Another thing that this job has is that it's lots of memorizing and i'm not to good at memorizing.
