Licensed Practical Nurse


Image result for lpnDuties & Responsibilities:   A LPN is a  nurse who cares for people who are sick, injured, convalescent, or disabled. LPNs work under the direction of registered nurses or physicians. They make sure to always keep an eye on their patients health. They are trained to give injections, take temperature & weight, check blood pressure, give out medication etc. on daily basis. There responsibility involves having good communication skills. They are responsible for communicating with the patient's family and giving information based on his/hers health. They always need to make sure to record medical history. They help a doctor out etc. LPN’s are usually found at hospitals doing there job.


Salary:  $43,170 annually


Demand for profession:  Growing 22% from 2014 to 2024


Education: You must earn either a diploma, certificate or degree, complete an Approved education program,  pass the NCLEX-PN, get professional certification, enter workface then complete additional training.



Reflection: Yes I would be interested in becoming an LPN. i think this because it seems like a very interesting job. One is exposed to seeing and learning new thing on the job which really interest me. Also they do interesting things.
