Thanksgiving & Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving day is on November 24. It is the day where you celebrate by giving thanks and  show you are thankful for what you have etc. The first thanksgiving was celebrated in 1621 by the Pilgrims after their first harvest in the new world.They did it to give thanks the Native Americans for helping them out. It has been celebrated as a federal holiday since 1863 when American Civil War, President Abraham Lincoln proclaimed a national day of "Thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent Father who dweller in the Heavens". Thanksgiving is on the last Thursday of the month of November. On this day people usually take the chance to go with family and get together eat all the good food and show them you care and that you are thankful for having them. Most common foods eaten on this day are Turkey, Ham, Mashed Potatoes with gravy, etc. Other than the United States thanksgiving is celebrated in Canada. Some people before eating give thanks to god for putting food on their plate and that he continues helping them out as a family.

This quote means that when you do what's right you will be a winner no matter what. If you are trying to get a job but someone else gets it, but they cheated and you didn't you are still a winner. You are a winner because they cheated and you were 100% honest. The cheater will have guilt. They will not feel good about cheating. On the other hand you will feel good even though you didn't get it because you were a CTR person. Being a CTR person no matter what will automatically make you a winner. Even though you didn't win the job you choosing the right and not cheating dose. Unlike them they cheated and they might not know how to do thing, or they lied. They will eventually get the bad karma back and they will become total losers. Even more of what they already are. You will get good karma for doing the right and you will be even more of a winner. Choosing the right is very important. Being a CTR person will always make you a winner no matter the situation!

Veterans Day

What is it? What do they honor? :

Veterans day is the anniversary of the day that World War one ended. They did it to honor all US veterans and victims. It was the replacement of armistice day in 1954.

What days it takes place? :

Veterans day takes place on November 11 since 1918

Why is it important to honor on Veterans Day? :

It is important because that way you thank them. You thank them for fighting for our country. You thank them for sacrificing themselves for us every day. It's a way of showing them that you're thankful for what they've done.

Ways to show respect/honor :

• Donate
• Show up to events you know are honoring
• Fly a flag (properly)
• Ask someone about their service
• Write or show that you appreciate a veteran you might know
• Say how thankful you are

Special Interest & Reflection :

A special interest that takes place on veterans day is how going to a VA hospital is showing respect. Helping them out is cool because being able to help them is fun You get to give a little back. Even though it might be something little to you it can mean a lot to the. I feel like veterans day is very important. I also feel like this day should not only be a one day thing we should be nice to them all the time.

I believe these mean that having integrity is very important. I think this because to have integrity you need to follow them. If you wanna be successful and be a CTR person you will do the three listed. You will do them without even thinking twice about them if you really have integrity. Having integrity means being trustworthy that some one can rely on you because you will always be there whether it's to hang out, job interview, practice or to talk etc. You must say no to all the bad things. Ex: they offer you some drugs, you have the courage to say no. You face the truth. Ex: you did something wrong and they ask if it was you, instead of saying it wasn't you say it was and face the truth and maybe even apologize. And lastly, do the right thing because it's right. Your friends are ditching school but you do to school without them because it's the right thing to do.

       I believe that this quote implies that those who are not trying shouldn't be rewarded. I think this because if they don't try they don't deserve it. While other people struggle to get it it's not fair. If you choose the right group you will be successful and if you choose the wrong one you won't be. If you have the right group make sure to not change them for bad ones, because they are helping you. Now if you choose the wrong set of friends your life is just gonna go downhill because they won't help you. They'll just use you till you're completely useless they'll leave you. IF you choose wise friends you will be wise and successful. If you choose the group of non-wise friends you'll be a fool; just like them. Your wise group of friends will help make sure you are a CTR person while the non-wise group of friends will make you/encourage you to choose the wrong. Ex: the wise group will help you study for a test while the non-wise will encourage you to cheat.

This quote means to always do good. No matter the circumstances you choose the right. By doing good you will be able to re create and feel good about yourself. Now if you do wrong you won't be able too. Say you have a job interview. You're stressed but you end up getting the job. Then you can relax cause you feel goo. If you get it the by doing wrong. You won't be able to recreate and feel good because you did wrong. Always be good and able to recreate.
