Class Evaluation

To begin with this was a very cool class. I enjoyed this class because I got to learn very important things. I liked the daily student success statements you gave us. I liked those because they taught me some valuable life lessons. You would always do an excellent job at choosing amazing quote and you never made them boring. Another very important thing I liked was our Life Planning Goals Journal. I really liked that because that journal is filled with many of my goals I have and have not accomplished yet. It is so helpful; and beneficial to me.

Although there were many highlights of this class there was also things I didn't like. I didn't like how we only coded for a little, I say this because coding is very important and something that will for sure come in handy in the future. Another thing I did not enjoy was the vocabulary. I didn't enjoy it because in my opinion it was a waste of time. None of us really took the time to look over them every day to memorize although I did try. The vocabulary was not my favorite also because it wasn't a challenge. It wasn't something i got to look for etc. I didn't like that it was just copy and paste then we did nothing with them.

Ways to improve this class in my opinion is a bit of more group projects. Although we did have like 3 or 4 I would have loved to work with my peers to do more. I would have loved for you to assign us a challenge and using only technology we had to figure it out. We had to get a solution using what we have. Also I do not recommend the computer science vocabulary because personally I didn't get anything out of it. At least not yet.

A for me in this class was the coding. I enjoyed the coding so much because it is something i'm really into. My goal is to finish the whole coding chapter and go into finding out more. Another highlight was the magic 8-ball. I think this believe this because not only did i get to challenge myself i got to learn from my mistakes. Although i'm not not 100% sure I did it right, I really tried my absolute best on it.

I strongly believe I did try my best in this class. I say this because I always made sure to try and maintain my A. Although right now I have a B it's because I was absent a couple of times. I don't like seeing B’s in my report card so in my goals journal there was a goal to always maintain A’s. I always made sure to write down everything i thought of a quote and include everything you asked for as well. Another thing is I always made sure to carry my CTR card with me and I even got an extra one to give to my friends. I always tried to be a CTR person in and out the classroom. Lastly I would always do  my work.

I am reading my goals journals daily. I also always make sure to write in it at home, (I have a reminder on for everyday that says to write in my journal on my phone.) When I read them and I notice I have completed or met a goal I get this satisfaction I can't explain. I look forward to completing all my goals in that journal. Even after this school year is over, I will make sure to continue and write in my journal because it is very valuable to me.

I am committed to becoming a CTR person. I am committed because being CTR is so beneficial to you and others around you. When you are CTR many doors open in a blink of an eye because that's when you become a role model. You become a role model when you are CTR because you have a good character. Having a good character is so important because if you are there for people, people are always going to be there for you no matter what. When you are CTR you learn to always make good choices. You learn to always be the bigger person because sometimes in life you may give but not get. That is fine though because in the end you'll have the bigger reward and not one bit of what if left in you. You will have a good clean conscious.  

Thank you Mr. Haymore. For teaching me such important things. Thanks for showing me what CTR is & introducing me to a life planning goals journal.

Character

Everything this quote mentions is very important in my opinion. It is stating that everything starts from character. Character comes from us, the people. If we want peace, we are the first step. If we have a negative attitude, only we (ourselves) have the power to change it and have peace within ourselves to later spread it and share it with the world. An example is having good character (being respectful, helpful and or caring, etc) will bring harmony to your home after you guys as a family have harmony, you will spread it and the nation will have order. If our nation has order there will be peace over all. Basically it is saying how peace all starts from character and how character comes from you. Us a people we have the power to spread what we want to the world to all the younger generations and to teach the older ones. If you really want peace you must learn to value your character and always have and show beautiful character. Dont scream, fight, cheat, smoke, etc because that will only cause hate within yourself and you will not have peace. If you don't have peace you will spread that negative energy and that will affect the world. Choosing the right being a ctr comes with good character if you are CTR you will have peace within yourself.

        This quote means that without a goal you won't know what you want or where you will end up. Without a set of goals you will be lost, like a ship has no purpose without a rudder. In this case it shows how important goals are and rudders are. Without one you'll be lost and have nowhere to go and nothing to do. For example without goals we will not have nothing to do, nothing to look forward to and most of all we won't find our purpose. Now if you have a rudder you will go somewhere and you will get there. This quote can get interpreted in many ways and can be used in many different situations. When you have a goal you'll find what you wanted. You'll get everything you've ever worked for. Without a goal(s) it will be hard. Something that helps us is our Goals Journals. Our goals journals are our rudder and without it most of us in this class room would be lost. Goals will help you do something big. A rudder and goals come hand in hand and they both are very important. Goals are a must in one's life to have a successful future. 

Memorial Day Weekend

This weekend I did a lot of preparing for my 15. On friday I went to eat with Allison then went home. On Saturday I went out with my parents and bought things I needed. We went to go cut my hair at the beauty salon later to the hall where my 15 party is going to take place. We tried foods to see what I wanted to give out to eat and then we tried desserts. I met other girls who are going to have a 15 and we really bonded on how stressful party planning is. On sunday I had movie night with the fam and we also had a barbecue. They cooked some food then we began watching movies in my house livingroom. Also on Sunday and the first half of Monday I did homework. I wrote my 10 paragraph essay, (4 pages) for english and then got some rest. Another thing that happened this weekend was 2 very important games 1 of chivas the other one of mexico took place. My whole family was excited to see them and we did. I also got some things over with and now to wait for this weekend to do some more preparing. This a good weekend and i was happy i got spend it with my family.

To me what this quote means is when you do good and you push yourself to get what you want you will be successful. Always have goals and set realistic one, so you can accomplish them. This quote also says that when you push yourself to have more than one goal and push yourself even more to accomplish them them then you will. You will because everything will “fall into line.”Doing what's right is always important. When you think of right you think of CTR and when you think of CTR you think of a CTR person; when you are a CTR person you always do good and make the right choices no matter what and that is extremely important if you want to be successful. An example is when we write in our goals journals we set realistic goals and as we continue adding on we continue accomplishing other ones. That is making us grow and as we grow we are becoming successful. Another thing is that as you accomplish one goal it becomes easier to keep on going and accomplishing other ones. This is a very important quote. Always set goals, make them happen, and then you’ll see success come your ways.

Phillip Riggs’ Four success Tips

1. Work hard
2. Follow your passions. Do things you are interested in doing.
3. Don't chase after money.
4. Serve others. Do good things for others, and good things will come back to you.

To me, the first statement means never give up and always try. When you try hard enough and work hard enough to get to a goal you will complete it. Working hard is important because it shows you are and you want something. Number two to me means that when you do what you love you will be happy. See if you find what you love and you do it for a living, you'll never really get bored because it's what you love. When you go for things you love to do or are interesting you will be successful. Now. number three to me means that money is a materialistic thing. Would you rather be genualy happy and have love or miserable with all  the money in the world, alone? I would rather be broke and happy than rich and miserable. $Money$ doesn't buy you happiness. Lastly, what that is basically saying is what goes around comes around. Karma is a thing. You do good, you get good back. You do bad, you get bad back. You get what you give and that's final. I therefore think these tips are very helpful and 100% true.

         This quote means that you shall always treasure how you are are. Good values include good character, and most of all choosing whats right. I believe this quote is true. One will get criticised based on how they are and how they are includes their values. If you have good values, you are a ctr person. An example of a good value is when you didn't study and its so easy to cheat, but your good value tells you thats not right and you don't do it. Having good values opens up doors. They open up doors because you are showing amazing character. You are showing that you are loyal, keep your word of honor, a CTR person, and respectful as well as self respect.  Using or having good values will always lead one to doing what is right.This is a very important quote because good values are a must for a successful living.  Now, if you choose to have bad values, values that are not good you will affect yourself. Bad values will backfire and you will be seen as a CTW person instead of a CTR one.

I agree with this quote by Theodore Roosevelt, because it is 100% truth full. Choosing/ doing what's right is never going to go wrong. Doing so is a win win, for everyone involved. When you choose the right, or to do the right thing you are showing you are a person with great character and self respect. Everyone makes choices on the daily, but not everyone makes the right ones but those who do, are more successful. An example of making the right decision is say you are shopping and you find a phone. You can make three choices 1. Take it, 2. Leave it, 3. Take it and return it. You mustn choose the right one because you don't know what type of information a cell phone contains, how important it is to someone, and you must do what's right because it right. Number 1 is simply just not right because it doesn't belong to you. Choice number 2 is not so good because someone else can come take it but there's a 50% chance they won't give it to the owner and 50% chance they will. Ans number 3 is totally the right one. Always do what's right no matter what because it important. You get what you give.

What this quote means is that word of honor is saying you will or will not do something and keeping it. I'd like to think of it as a promise. When you give your word of honor you are promising to do as you say. You are saying you won't break it and you will achieve what you said you would. An example of giving your word of honor is telling your mom you will do something and THEN YOU DO-DO IT. If you break it your word of honor won't mean anything but if you keep it, you will be valued. A word of honor is important because if you don't have one, or you break things you say you will do constantly, and give your word for it; then no one will take you seriously. People will see you as nothing but a liar. Now if you do opposite than that you will show your good character and that you are a CTR person. Keeping your word of honor is very important. Having a word of honor is valuable and not having one will suck.

The 10 Indian commandments

3. Show great respect to your fellow beings.
4. Work together for the benefit of all mankind.
5. Give assistance and kindness wherever needed.
6. Do what you know to be right.
7. Looks after the well being of mind and body.
8. Dedicate a share of your efforts to the greater good.
9. Be truthful and honest at all times.
10. Take full responsibility for your actions.

I  believe these are really good commandments. I can relate to most, but not all. These commandments are very important. I say that because the 10 Indian commandments can help one become a better person. The commandments I can relate to the most is commandment number 6,  9, and 10. (Do what you know to be right, Take full responsibility for your actions and Be truthful and honest at all times.) I say this because when you are a CTR person you must do all of these the most. You must try to always be honest and truthful also always choose the right. Who ever came up with these commandments must be very proud because they are really good, and useful. If one follows these, they will be sure to become a better person or remain one. These commandments relate to being a CTR person because when you choose to follow them, you are doing what's right in all the ways possible and that's what being a CTR person id about. The commandment I liked the most was number 4 because when you allow others to help you do something better it is good. You'll find new things you had never before and you will enjoy them.

Henry David Thoreau

To begin with I agree with Henry’s quote. I say this because doing what's good can never go wrong. Any time you choose the right no bad outcome will come from it. An example is you see someone getting robbed. Later you find the robber and you think “should I report him or not.” The right thing to do is report him. Why? Because if you see him and let him slip, he will continue doing what he did over and over again. Now if you report him you’re actually helping him, they  can change for the better and you're helping others around you stay safe. When you choose to do right, and you know it's right never second guess yourself because doing what's right is right. Doing something that doesn't have goodness in it is not correct. Choosing to be a CTR person will never fail one unlike CTW. When someone chooses to do right they are helping lots of people and preventing lots of other things. If you choose something that you think is right, But it fails, then it really wasn’t right and one must learn from their mistakes. Good doesn't fail, bad does. 😆😁😃

This quote to me means that we are responsible for doing what's right. We are the only ones who can choose whether we live a CTR or a CTW life. We have the choice to make the right things known and the bad unknown. It is important to do so because the next generations will always look up to the older ones. An example is say there is two teens and 2 adults. One teen looks up to adult #1 who has a good education, a profession, and is living a good life. The other teen looks up to adult #2 who has no job, parties, does not attend school. It is likely for the teens to end up the same to the person is they look up to. This is important because as role models we should always try our best to promote what's right because there is younger kids out there who look up to everything we do without even knowing it. One bad choice impacts a lot of people not only yourself. Doing what's right will always be the “popular” thing to do. It's what's right. By doing what's right you teach others to follow you and then they teach others to do so as well. It's a never ending cycle.

I agree with his quote. Abraham Lincoln’s quote is right because it's true. When someone is right it's okay to follow. This quote to me means that doing what's right will never go wrong and doing what's wrong will never be right. When you choose to be CTR you will be doing yourself a favor not anyone else. An example of this is cheating on a test to get a perfect score. Everyone makes mistakes and it's said that we learn from them. When you cheat to get a perfect score you are following to be a CTW person. Now say you didn't get a perfect score, that's okay because you are being truthful and you are following what is right. One should follow those who are bound to do right and have character. If they ever switch up and turn bad, one must be bound to leave them and start a path of there own. Following those who are wrong, will make you look the worst. This quote is very important. Choosing the right and having a great character will always benefit, than cheating and choosing the wrong.

I believe this quote is right. Intellect comes from having good character. The most important thing is character because being a CTR person will always open up doors etc. Now if you don't have good character doors will not open because you are CTW. good character is linked to being a CTR person. When you have good character you always make the right choices for yourself and think about what the outcome of your choices will be. That is what CTR is all about. An example of character being higher than intellect is that say there is two people applying to the same job. The first person in very high in knowledge but lacks in character. They are sometimes rude to customers and other times are dis-honest.  Now person two isn't so high in knowledge ( at normal level) but does have amazing character. Always giving respect, helping others and goes beyond to do so. Who will get the job? Person 2. Why? Because they always try their best no matter what and there good character pushes them to be better everyday unlike person one. Having good character will always be at high power because good character pushes one to be the very best that they can every day. Good character eventually makes a very high achieving person who is always CTR.

             I agree with is quote. I think that this quote is a very powerful one. When one is good, one is great. But if one is bad one will not be seen as great. One can not be great unless they are good. To begin with if one is a great person, everything in life will go good, making being a great person important. Say there is two athletes. One is truly great and doesn't cheat he does everything the way he is supposed to and then the second athlete is a CTW person and used steroids to cheat. In the future The one that showed he was great will have a good future while the one that was not so great will have a bad future. Being a great person is being truthful to who you are and to others. You will have a good future if you start by taking baby steps that prove you are great that will then lead you on to be truly good. If people live by George Chapman's quote they will have a very good future and career. Goodness in deed does determine greatness. First one has to be great in order to be good. Being a CTR person will only be the start to being truly great. After you will be a truly good person
